The “Rebellion of the artefacts” project is about reversing the modern process of colonization through urbanization by bringing back the “jungle” into the city. Revealing the hidden and marginal forms of life of each context through sound amplification, and developing tools to communicate about these unknown lives and experiences.
Through a workshop with local inhabitants, we will propose to build and hijack low-tech and high-tech electronic and communication tools to explore the sound environment of each context, amplifying the hidden microcosm which compose it and transmit the process of discovering through real-time radio transmission, combining sound streams and discussions/exchanges.
