                   IMPROVED CMOS SYNTHESISER
                   =========================

This project generates a frequency in the HF band, and programable
by means of two 8x DIP switches.  The solder-pad on the PCB allows
only ONE pad to be bridged to select a desired reference frequency
and it is this frequency that governs output frequency steps. With
the component values shown, the synthesiser has a centre-frequency
of about 500KHz and will tune a 50:1 frequency range to about 2MHz
or so. Replace the 100pf cap to reach other frequencies, 47pf will
allow up to 4MHz. The output level is a square-wave equal to about
the supply voltage.  Output power level is about 250mW at 50-Ohms,
using a 9v battery supply.

PCB size - print scale so chips have a 0.1" (2.54mm) pin spacing.
           (Using PSP or ACDSee the scale should be 38%)
